Her seminal performance art in the early 1960's, experimental films and collaborative music with John Lennon in the 1970's and international one-woman shows and retrospectives during the 1980's and 1990's illustrate her varied career.

(If You Want It), and more recently with her IMAGINE PEACE TOWER in Iceland and participatory Wish Trees throughout the world.
Reflecting on her reputation for being outrageous, Yoko smiles and says, "I do have to rely on my own judgement, although to some people my judgement seems a little out of sync. I have my own rhythm and my own timing, and that's simply how it is."
Project:
IMAGINE PEACE
If one billion people in the world think peace - we'll get peace.
You may think "how are we going to get one billion people to think PEACE?"
Remember, each one of us has the power to change the world.
Power works in mysterious ways.
Visualize the domino effect, and just start thinking PEACE.
Thoughts are infectious.
Send it out.
The message will circulate faster than you think.
It's time for action.
The action is PEACE.
Spread the WORD.
Spread PEACE.
I love you.
